EH&S Sprinkler Policy

It is the policy of Environmental Health and Safety to support the installation of an automatic fire sprinkler system throughout the entire structure, for every new building project and major building renovation on the UCSB campus. After consultation with various constituencies, EH&S will only support the renovations of any existing buildings that include the installation of fire sprinkler systems. It has been shown that fire sprinkler systems save lives and prevent extensive property loss in the event of a fire.
