Water Quality

Definition: The Industrial Hygiene Program investigates complaints from building occupants who notice a change in color and/or taste of their potable water. Elevated levels of chlorine, copper or potential microbial contamination are examples of foul water quality.

Implementation: The following procedures should be followed when noticing a water quality problem:

   • Call EH&S at x8787, x3743 or x3194 and provide information.
   • Be present at the site to meet with the investigator and provide the individual with detailed information.
