Safety Rights, Responsibilities and Resources (IIPP)

UCSB is required by law to inform employees of their safety-related rights, responsibilities and resources. The UC Learning Center’s Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) online training modules (~15 min.) provide this information as required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal-OSHA). Every employee must complete the appropriate IIPP training.

LABORATORY WORKER who uses hazardous materials/processes.

Follow the instructions for Accessing EH&S Fundamentals of Laboratory Safety.

EMPLOYEE who does not supervise.

SUPERVISOR primarily supervising office staff.

SKILLED TRADES SUPERVISOR supervising skilled trade employees(s), (i.e., maintenance, kitchen, shops, physical labor, etc.).

TEMPORARY WORKER or an UNDERGRADUATE working on campus.
