Automatic Fire Sprinkler System
Automatic Fire Sprinkler Shop Drawings shall be submitted to the Campus Fire Marshal in the Office of Environmental Health & Safety for approval prior to installation or remodel. Plans to be signed by a licensed C-16 contractor or Fire Protection Engineer. Product Data along with hydraulic calculations will need to accompany shop drawing submittal. Contractor is responsible to conduct flow test for information to be used in hydraulic calculations.
The fire sprinkler system indicated in these drawings shall be used for bidding purposes only and is not for construction. System shall meet specification requirements.
Fire Alarm System
The fire alarm system shall conform to Article 760 of the California Electrical Code. Installation of the fire alarm system shall not be started until detailed plans and specifications, including California State Fire Marshal listing numbers for each component of the system, have been approved by the Designated Campus Fire Marshal in the Office of Environmental Health & Safety. Upon completion of the installation of the fire alarm system, a satisfactory test of the entire system shall be made in the presence of Environmental Health & Safety or their representative.

Provide: State Fire Marshal listing number for all components; single line diagram showing primary power/emergency power riser diagram; details of trouble supervision and power limited/non-power limited circuitry floor plans showing location of all components; method of alarm transmission to University Police Dispatch.
