UCSB’s Environmental Health and Safety offers two free and optional Field Safety Training classes during the spring and fall quarters for researchers and students who work in the field.
The classes are taught by individuals with years of field experience and are designed to provide researchers and students with field first-aid training and assist with preparing for work in the field. Below is a brief outline for each opportunity.
Requests for training for groups of people 10 or more during summer and winter quarters will be reviewed on case by case basis.
Spaces Are Limited and Available on a First-Come First-Served Basis.
If Interested in Joining the Training, Please Sign Up Below.
You are required to take Class 2 (Field Trip Planing at 2 pm) in order to attend Class 1
(Field Safety First Aid at 3 pm).
If you are interested in Class 2 only (2 pm to 3 pm), Class 1 is not required.
